Child Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech and Language Therapy Services in Southern California
- The Therapy Program is created to accommodate various functional levels of the clients. It includes a variety of therapeutic treatments and evaluation techniques to promote growth in aspects of gross motor, fine motor, speech, behavior, social, emotional/psychological, adaptive and self-help skills.
- Parents are encouraged to participate and ask questions and request advice on various issues affecting their children.
- Family members are included in setting goals for their children and learning intervention strategies.
- Our Therapists provide treatments In-Home and at our Center, based on the needs of the clients and requests providers
Qualifications of our Therapists
- Our therapists have years of pediatric experience working with children (0-21 years of age) with a variety of diagnoses affecting the child's overall development and function in their natural environment.
- Many of our therapists are specialized and certified in NDT (Neuro-Developmental Treatment), Sensory Integration, Feeding/Swallowing, adaptive equipment and brace/splint needs, augmentative communication needs, total communication strategies and various evaluation techniques.
- All our therapists are California Board Certified and Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Speech Therapy.
Types of Therapy Services Provided
- Physical Therapy Treatments, Evaluations and Consultations
Provide information and strategies to help children develop functional mobility, balance, motor control, coordination and gross motor skills such as crawling, walking, jumping, management of obstacles and community access (home and school) and address needs for specialized braces and equipment for mobility.
- Occupational Therapy Treatments, Evaluations and Consultations
Provide information and strategies for fine/gross motor skills, cognitive/adaptive skills, self-help skills, feeding issues, sensory integration issues and school related tasks. We also provide assessments for specialized equipment needs for the hands/arms and activities of daily living.
- Speech and Language Therapy Treatments, Evaluations and Consultations
Provide information and strategies for the development of communication skills, improvement of the child's understanding (receptive language skills) and expansion of the child's ability to communicate his/her needs through the use of "Total Communication" strategies (expressive language skills). Total communication includes verbal, sign language, PECs and augmentative communication when possible.
